How to Select Liquid & Solids Amendments and Pumping & Delivery Systems Based on MIHPT Data

- Eliot Cooper

MIHPT gives us a good understanding of how contaminant mass is distributed in course of fine grained soils. Whether or not to try to remediate either or both depends on overall remediation objectives and the ability to inject or emplace liquid or solid amendments into these soils. Based on the efficacy of in situ amendments, the ability to distribute them effectively to achieve contact, and the residence time within the contact zone a matrix has been developed to help to select the appropriate physical form of amendment and delivery approach.
