ISTR Design and Optimization Strategies

Traditionally, in situ thermal remediation (ISTR) has been known as the heavy hammer for source area treatment, removing the majority of mass from as small of a volume as possible. While advances in thermal applications are beginning to change that stereotype, it is still most commonly applied as a source area treatment. Designing an effective ISTR system that maximizes contaminant mass removal while minimizing overall project cost requires a strong conceptual site model (CSM) as the foundation from which creative ISTR system design considerations can be made.

In this webinar, we will look at how a solid CSM allows surgically focused, cost-effective, ISTR solutions. In addition, we will review different design considerations and ISTR system configurations that can maximize project cost effectiveness while ensuring the desired outcome.
