Alyson Fortune is a Senior Scientist at TerraTherm, Cascade’s thermal remediation division, with more than 25 years of experience in the environmental industry. Since joining TerraTherm in 2012, Alyson has led PFAS-focused initiatives across research and field applications. Her expertise includes client-directed bench-scale studies, TerraTherm-funded independent PFAS remediation research, and her current role in the ESTCP Field Demonstration Project: Side-by-Side Evaluation of Field-Scale Treatment of PFAS-Impacted Sediments.
Alyson also serves as the Engineering group's Data Quality Discipline Lead, overseeing field screening, analytical sampling, and vapor and liquid discharge compliance monitoring. She is responsible for developing and implementing project-specific Sampling and Analysis Plans (SAPs) and Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs), managing thermal treatability studies, and coordinating with laboratories to ensure high-quality data outcomes. In addition, she maintains advanced field instrumentation—including vapor phase FTIR systems—and supports data management for some of TerraTherm’s most complex remediation projects.
