Technical Expert, In Situ Stabilization

Jon Simpson is a Senior Project Manager at Cascade Remediation Services and serves as Subject Matter Expert for In-Situ Stabilization (ISS). He has over 30 years of environmental experience and is a practiced Senior Hydrogeologist. Jon’s certificates and licensing includes OSHA 40-Hour Hazwoper Training and 8-Hour Refresher Training, Permit-Required Confined Spaces and 30-hour General Construction Training; as well as US Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management (CQM) Certification, Competent Persons in Excavation Certificate, Sediment & Stormwater Management License, and TWIC Card Certified.

Jon provides hydrologic technical support and project management associated with complex investigative and remedial actions. Jon is an expert in geophysical techniques (surface and borehole), drilling methodologies and practices, and support services related to site characterization and remediation activities. He’s also an expert in geotechnical construction, ISS, deep soil mixing for ground improvement and groundwater control, dewatering, sediment remediation, solid and hazardous waste.

Jon works closely with clients and manages all aspects of complex projects, from bidding to closeout, including estimating, proposal development, contract negotiation, scheduling resources, monitoring project performance versus schedule and budget, project controls reporting, and client relations. 

Jon began his career as a Senior Hydrogeologist and Project Manager at ENSR Consulting & Engineering, before moving to Camp Dresser & McKee (CDM), Inc. He later became the President and Lead Hydrogeologist at Strata Services Corporation, a geoscience and drilling services company focused on deep groundwater environmental impacts and remediation, and then took a position at Panther Technologies (now Cascade Remediation Services).
